Blennerhassett Island Historical and North Bend state parks have teamed to offer The Voyage Package in 2010.  This package includes:

- One night lodging at North Bend Lodge * 
- Sternwheeler ride to Blennerhassett Island (two passes)
- Two tickets for wagon ride tour of the island
- Two tickets for Blennerhassett Mansion tour
- Two passes for Blennerhassett Regional History Museum

Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park is a 35 minute drive from North Bend and located in Parkersburg, WV.

Package price is for two; this is not a per person price. Reservations and payment are required in advance of arrival.  Packages may not be combined with other discounts.  This package not valid with special evening events or Brunch with Margaret event.  Taxes are included.  Package price subject to change. 

* In summer season, North Bend requires a two night rental on weekends. However, if you decide to spend more than one night, a 20% discount off the room rate is extended for each additional night.

- Lure/Bait for the type of fishing you want to do, and specific to the fishing conditions that day

Information about fishing North Bend Lake including:
- Under water structure such as the original river channel etc.

- Bank fishing opportunities
- Current water conditions (temperature and clarity)

General lake fishing line the different types and the advantages of each; tips specific to North Bend Lake; tips specific to species of fish you are going after; tips about what kind of bait or lure and where and how to throw it.

How the package works
Arrive at North Bend with your fishing buddy and enjoy a great deal of fishing on the 300 acre North Bend Lake. Check in at North Bend State Park then swing by Hess Fish and Tackle to check out the new items, redeem your coupon, and find the fishing patterns on the lake. After an overnight rest, start the day with breakfast in the North Bend Dining room and head back to the lake for some more great fishing.  Need to recharge your trolling motor battery?  No problem we have outlets adjacent to the parking lot just for that.

We really like Fred’s private stash for bass fishing and Jones or Crane Baits for musky fishing.   All of these are quality hand made lures that are favorites of local fishermen.

Hess is an accomplished bass angler. He began fishing the section of the North Fork of the Hughes River that was flooded to from North Bend Lake over twenty years ago.  He knows the lake as well as or better than anyone, combine that with his knowledge of fishing and interest in seeing fishermen be successful, therefore returning to the lake and his shop, he’s a local fishermen who can and will tell you about the good fishing holes.
